What is Kids Voting?

Kids Voting Kansas is a grass roots, nonpartisan, non-profit organization dedicated to educating Kansas youth about their rights, responsibilities, and the process of participating in our American democracy.

After receiving classroom instruction on the principles of voting, students go to the polls on Election Day and vote in their own election alongside their parents in special booths staffed by community volunteers. Though not covered in official results, student votes are reported in the media. The result is an increase in voter education and voter turnout of all ages.
