Voting Kansas, as an affiliate of Kids Voting USA, offers two curriculums,
Civics Alive! and Destination Democracy.
Civics Alive! is the base curriculum for K-12 students.
Destination Democracy is a service-learning curriculum that supplements
the Civic Alive! lessons.v Destination Democracy focuses on students
in 9-12 grades.
Civics Alive meets both the national and state standards for social
studies. Though this curriculum should not be thought of as solely
a social studies curriculum. Math and English teachers have used
it and have positive responses about the results.
Kids Voting Kansas has created a supplement resource for teachers
using the curriculum called Curriculum Standard Matrix.
Kids Voting Kansas provides 2008 Teacher Handbook, which is a quick
reference guide for teachers who are using the curriculum, and a
teacher in-service training to help teachers understand the curriculum
and how to implement it into their classrooms. To request a 2008
